Budaka hosted a one day Drum and Dance workshop with Chinta & Cheze from Rhythm Konnections on Saturday 29 November 2008.

A day of drum, dance and more drumming (and a great lunch!)

Budaka hosted a  2 day drumming workshop with our long time teacher and mentor, Chinta, from Rhythm Konnections on the  27th and 28th September 2008.

As well as body percussion and sharpening our technique, two great new rhythms were learnt and everybody enjoyed the weekend.

Budaka performed at the 4th Annual Beechmont Jazz Festival.

September 14th 2008. 

This event just gets better and better. A beautiful day in a glorious setting with great music and food. Budaka is honoured to be part of it. Some photos available on our gallery. See you there next year!

These were truly inspirational workshops!

Saturday 30th August- African singing with Valanga Khoza and Andrea Watson. 

The material included traditional, original  and freedom songs. All participants had a great time. The songs and harmonies will be with us forever!

Sunday 31st August- Drumming with King Marong. 

King was a wonderful teacher and we hope to have him back next year.
